Grace Music Festival (GMF) features musicians passionate about peacebuilding, social issues and the environment. It is a peacebuilding and community bonding initiative that was conceived as part of the Stop The Fighting Start The Music campaign by Cafe Diplo. GMFs will be held in conflict areas to encourage people to make and enjoy music, to put their differences aside, and to give peace a chance. Peace with our planet is important too, hence the festival shall rally everyone to protect Earth. GMFs will also be held in non-conflict areas to bring communities together in the spirit of solidarity, commonality and harmonious living. Events under the GMF banner include Concerts With A Cause and Bazaars With A Cause.

GMFs will involve local musicians as performers, and aims to attract as many participants as possible, especially if they came from different sides of a conflict. The festival is built on the notion that grace, as defined in terms of forgiveness, goodwill, generosity and kindness, is a vital ingredient in conflict resolution and peacebuilding. It is believed that if all parties to a conflict can swallow their pride, summon up a little grace and work with (not against) each other, many issues can be resolved.

In short, GMF is about "a little grace, a great deal of peace."
